I can’t believe it…our first trip as a team to one of the biggest jiu jitsu tournaments of the year…IBJJF Jiu Jitsu Con in Las Vegas!  It started off with just Coach Jayson and Coach John saying they wanted to compete.  Then a few other members and their families said they would love to go too, so a whopping 11 competitors from our school signed up to test their skills in the biggest event that IBJJF puts on!  Can you believe that? 11 students!  We aren’t even a year in with our school and we had 11 students sign up! Although we only had one win from a match (yay Del!) the team all fought so hard and had heaps of fun!  We are so proud of everyone who chose to step out and put it on the line.  It is not easy, competition itself is a skill.  Sometimes nerves take over and your limbs feel like it becomes jello (this happens to me!) and sometimes you just suffer from CRS (Can’t Remember Stuff.)
